Royal Irish Academy Gold Medal recipients announced
The 2023 Academy Gold Medal in the Humanities has been awarded to Jane Ohlmeyer MRIA and the 2023 Academy Gold Medal in the Physical and Mathematical Sciences has been awarded to Jonathan Coleman MRIA.

Pond Life comes to Campus

Science plaque unveiled to honour inventor Percy Ludgate
Percy Ludgate published the world’s second design for a computer. He designed it, often into the early hours, in his home at 30 Dargle Road in Drumcondra, Dublin, where the plaque was unveiled.

The Trinity Postgraduate Certificate in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship will provide ambitious individuals in the Kilkenny region with the opportunity to gain a postgraduate qualification at level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Trinity benefits from legacy of Elan founder Dr Don Panoz
Dr Panoz died in September 2018, aged 83, leaving part of his estate to Trinity. This followed his funding in 1994 of the Panoz Institute, a purpose-built home for the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences on campus.

Into the woods - a Pocket Forest comes to Trinity
Professor Yvonne Buckley brought more biodiversity to campus last week in the form of a Pocket Forest - a small native forest planted in urban areas. Students and staff from across the University came together to prepare the soil for the new mini-forest, which is located outside the Parsons Building.
