Trinity Law Students Win All-Ireland Competition

Trinity School of Law students, Bridget English and Rebecca Russell-Carroll, were the winners of the McCann FitzGerald All-Ireland Business Law Challenge, ‘The Advocate’, which took place recently in the Four Courts. The Trinity team beat off competition from other third level legal students from around the country to take the top prize of €2,000 and a place on a summer internship programme.

The Advocate competition is run by legal firm McCann FitzGerald in association with the Courts Service and the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service. The programme aims to promote the articulation of legal responses to the various business issues faced by corporate firms and offers promising lawyers an opportunity to hone their litigation skills by competing against other legal students from around the country.
