The Governor General of New Zealand, the Hon Dame Silvia Cartwright visits Trinity College

The Governor General of New Zealand, the Hon Dame Silvia Cartwright and her husband  Mr Peter Cartwright made a state visit to Trinity College on June 1, to visit the Book of Kells and the Long Room.

They were welcomed by the Provost, Dr John Hegarty, and College Librarian and Archivist,  Mr Robin Adams.

The dignitaries expressed great interest in the historical manuscript and the guided tour which Mr Adams gave them of the library.
