TCD Forges Links with Australian National University
Posted on: 01 October 2007
Trinity College Dublin signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, last month. The MOU will serve as a general framework for cooperation between the two institutions and is intended to facilitate discussions for more specific programmes of collaboration.
Through the MOU, both TCD and ANU will seek to identify opportunities for the exchange of faculty, postgraduate students and research staff. It is aimed to establish programmes in teaching, research or university administration that will enable both qualified students and staff to pursue either short-term or extended programmes of study at the other institution. The institutions also aim to identify other areas of possible interest and collaboration.
Both the Provost, Dr John Hegarty and the Registrar of ANU, Tim Beckett signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of the College’s Director of International Student Affairs, John McPartland and Registrar, Professor Juergen Barkhoff.
