Tánaiste to deliver Trinity Monday Memorial Discourse on Noël Christopher Browne

Trinity graduate and Tánaiste Leo Varadkar T.D. will deliver this year’s Trinity Memorial Discourse commemorating Noël Christopher Browne as part of Trinity Monday 2021 on 26 April.
Noël Christopher Browne, politician and physician (1915-1997) is remembered for his work on the eradication of TB in Ireland and the delivery of free healthcare to mothers and children during his time as Minister for Health (1948-51).

Trinity Monday is a highlight of the College calendar when the Provost announces a new cohort of Fellows and Scholars, in line with tradition, on the steps of the Examination Hall in Front Square.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the announcement of Fellows and Scholars on Trinity Monday, 26 April will be live-streamed at 10am. This will be followed by the Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at 10.30am delivered by the Archbishop Dermot Farrell, Archbishop of Dublin and the Trinity Monday Memorial Discourse by the Tánaiste.
