Science Gallery in Condé Nast’s best museums of Dublin
Posted on: 16 July 2018
Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin was included in Condé Nast Traveler’s recently-published list of their favourite museums in the capital, alongside leading venues like Kilmainham Gaol, the National Museum of Natural History and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
Describing the gallery as a “dynamic, ever-changing space”, the article also makes particular mention of the “young and energetic atmosphere” provided by its location on the campus of Trinity College Dublin. Many of the gallery’s mediators are undergraduate and postgraduate students who work at Science Gallery part time during their studies.
The Science Gallery network, pioneered at Trinity, is now global. The location at King’s College London is scheduled to open to the public in September and galleries are currently in development in Melbourne, Bengaluru and Venice. Science Gallery Lab: Detroit is currently hosting its first pop-up exhibition, HUSTLE.
Science Gallery Dublin’s summer exhibition LIFE AT THE EDGES is free to visit and open to the public until 30 September. The exhibition examines life in extraordinary environments, alongside humankind’s passion for exploration, adventure and discovery.
