Re-Freshers Event Highlights Student Led Societies and Activities at TCD
Posted on: 20 January 2011
A ‘Re-Freshers’ event which will introduce new international students to the many societies and activities on offer at Trinity College Dublin will be hosted by the Central Societies Committee (CSC) on Wednesday 26th January next. The event will highlight the central role student-led societies and activities play within the lives of students during their time in Trinity College. With over 100 student societies on offer, participating in clubs, societies, volunteer groups or other social activities is an integral part of the Trinity experience and one not to be missed.
Experience has shown that taking part in a student-led activity helps foster a sense of collegiality amongst the College community and plays a vital role in student retention within the University. The ‘Re-Freshers’ event also encourages those students who did not have an opportunity to join a society during Freshers’ week to come and get involved in the College’s vibrant social scene. Students can discuss the range of societies on offer with a representative from the CSC and find out how to join clubs at the event, which will take place in the Atrium beside the Dining Hall, Wednesday, January 26th from 12pm – 3pm.
