National Showcase Highlights Ireland’s Leading Role in Global Digital Content
Posted on: 06 November 2014
Ireland’s status as a global hub for next-generation user experience and customer engagement came to the fore this week, as industry and academic leaders demonstrated their latest digital content innovations at the Engaging Content, Engaging People showcase in Croke Park.
The showcase, hosted by the CNGL Centre for Global Intelligent Content, will hear how companies including RTÉ; Digital, Intel, Novartis and Clearview are harnessing digital content and media to create exceptional customer experiences and enable global reach.
Speaking ahead of the event, Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computer Science & Statistics at Trinity College Dublin and Director of CNGL, Vincent Wade, said: “This showcase provided an ideal opportunity for CNGL and industry partners to demonstrate how they are working together to ensure that Ireland remains at the forefront of innovation in digital platforms, content and applications – worth an estimated €185 billion in global markets.”
Dynamic digital content interactions are key to valuable customer relationships and enhanced global reach and revenue. Through more than 30 exhibits, CNGL and partners demonstrated how they are helping companies to engage with global customers better than ever to tailor information and delivery strategies that enable global reach, to personalise education programmes, and to deliver multilingual customer care.
Just last month the Government and industry announced investment of more than €50 million that will see CNGL and new partners evolve to form ADAPT, the global centre of excellence for research in digital content and media technologies. Launching in January 2015, ADAPT will revolutionise how users and enterprises engage with each other using global digital content. Ultimately, the aim is to deliver the right content to the right customer, at the right time and in the right format and language, and on the device of their choice.
Sharing their organisations' experiences of harnessing digital content to deliver exceptional customer experiences were:
