Innovation Academy and School of Chemistry awarded funding for new projects

The Innovation Academy and Trinity's School of Chemistry have been awarded funding for three new educational projects, valued at 1.54 million, due to start in 2018.

Part of the funding will allow the Innovation Academy to provide 20 scholarships for Trinity’s Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It will also see the Innovation Academy along with Trinity's School of Chemistry contribute to a pan-European Masters for Maintenance Engineering led by Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) in Germany.

The projects include a pan-European Engineering Masters, a NEAT Materials PhD programme and an industry-led Summer School.

All of the projects involve a network of industry and academic partners from the global raw materials industry and focus on supporting the next generation of products and services.

The funding has been awarded under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Raw Materials KIC.
