Eight Trinity researchers among the most cited in the world

Eight researchers affiliated with Trinity feature on the annual Highly Cited Researchers™ 2022 list from Clarivate, which identifies researchers who have demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.
Professors Valeria Nicolosi, Andrew Bowie, Stefano Sanvito, Brian Lucey, Padraic Fallon, Luke O’Neill (in two separate fields) and Jonathan Coleman all appear, while Patrick Devine-Wright, based at the University of Exeter but who holds a secondary affiliation with Trinity, completes the list.
Their names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science™ citation index.
Valeria Nicolosi is Professor of Nanomaterials & Advanced Microscopy in Trinity’s School of Chemistry; PI at CRANN and AMBER, the SFI Centre for Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research; and PI at I-FORM, the SFI Centre for Advanced Manufacturing.
Andrew Bowie is Professor of Innate Immunology in Trinity’s School of Biochemistry and Immunology, based in the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Instutute (TBSI).
Stefano Sanvito is Professor of Condensed Matter Theory in the School of Physics, Director of CRANN and PI at AMBER.
Brian Lucey is Professor of International Finance and Commodities in Trinity Business School.
Padraic Fallon is Professor of Translational Immunology in Trinity’s School of Medicine and TBSI.
Jonathan Coleman is Professor of Chemical Physics in Trinity’s School of Physics and PI at CRANN and AMBER.
Luke O’Neill is Professor of Biochemistry in Trinity’s School of Biochemistry and Immunology, based in TBSI.
Patrick Devine-Wright is an Adjunct Professor in Geography in Trinity’s School of Natural Sciences.
