Deteriorating Weather Conditions: College Arrangements

All scheduled teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and evening lectures/seminars has been cancelled.
The Catering Service will close at 3.00pm. Regrettably the Commons meal for this evening will be cancelled.
All College offices including the Library will close at 5.00pm, including the 24 hour access and the 1937 Reading Room.
The following access arrangements will be in place:
- Nassau Street Gate will close at 6.00pm
- Pearse Street vehicular Gate will close at 6.00pm
- Lincoln Place Gate will be available for vehicular exit only from 6.00pm until midnight
- Front Gate will remain open to resident staff and students only
FRIDAY 3 DECEMBER 2010
A decision in relation to teaching scheduled for Friday 3 December 2010 will be advised on the afternoon of 2 December 2010.
The inconvenience caused by these arrangements is regretted but they are taken in the best health and safety interests of staff and student.
Deteriorating Weather Conditions: College Arrangements

The main Trinity College Campus will be closed to all staff, students and visitors other than residents and essential staff from midnight on Thursday 23 December due to the adverse weather conditions and will reopen on Monday 27 December at 8.00am, subject to weather conditions.
The following College services will be closed: the Library and its 24 hour access and the 1937 Reading Room, the Sports Centre, and all College offices.
The following access arrangements will be in place:
– Nassau Street Gate will be closed
– Pearse Street vehicular Gate will be closed
– Crann/Westland Row pedestrian gates will be closed
– Lincoln Place Gate will be available for essential vehicular access only
– Front Gate will remain open to resident staff and students and essential staff only
Christmas Closure Arrangements (Revised 23 December)
College will be closed from the end of business hours on Thursday the 23rd December 2010 to the start of normal business hours on Tuesday 4th January 2011. The following closure arrangements will apply:
Front Gate
Front Gate will open and close as normal except on Friday 24th , Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of December 2010, when all gates will remain closed. On Friday the 31st of December 2010 (New Years Eve) Front Gate will be closed from 1800 to 0800 on the 1st of January 2011 . Residents may enter and leave College via this gate during these closure periods.
Pearse St. West (traffic gate)
This gate will be closed from 1830 on Thursday 23rd of December 2010 to 0800 on Tuesday 4th January 2011.
Pearse St. West (pedestrian gate).
Accessible to key holders only. This gate will be double locked from 1800 on Friday the 31st of December 2010 (New Years Eve) to 0800 on Saturday the 1st of January 2011.
Lincoln Place (traffic gate)
This gate will be open from 0800 to 2400 daily except on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th December and Sunday 26th of December 2010 when all gates will remain closed. On Friday the 31st of December 2010 (New Years Eve) this gate will be closed from 1800 to 0800 on Saturday the 1st of January 2011.
Lincoln Place (pedestrian gate)
As for Lincoln Place traffic Gate.
Arts Building/Nassau St. (pedestrian gate)
This entrance will be closed from 2230 on Thursday the 23rd of December 2010 to 0800 on Tuesday 4th January 2011.
(Note: As per the usual arrangements, this gate will be available for use during the normal weekend evening closure of Front Gate).
Moyne (pedestrian gate)
Closed from 1800 on Thursday 23rd December 2010 to 0800 on Tuesday 4th January 2011.
Pearse Street Gate East (Pedestrian Gate at CRANN)
Swipe access only from 1800 on Thursday 23rd of December 2010 to 0700 on Tuesday 4th of January 2011. There will be no access on Friday the 31st December 2010 (New Years Eve) from 1800 to 0800 on Saturday the 1st of January 2011.
College buildings
All College buildings will close on Thursday 23rd of December 2010 (normal business hours) and will re-open at the appropriate times on Tuesday 4th of January 2011.
Mail Office
The Mail Office will be closed for receipt of mail from 1400 on Thursday 23rd December 2010 to 0800 on Tuesday 4th of January 2011. For residents and departments who may wish to collect mail, the office will be open on Friday 24th December 2010 and on Friday 31st December 2010 from 0800 to 1300.
