Trinity performs well in QS World University Subject Rankings 2024

Trinity College Dublin has performed well in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024.   

Trinity has five subjects in the top 50 globally in the latest ranking:   

English (21)   

Nursing (26)   

Pharmacy (=26)  

Performing Arts (40)   

Theology (49) 

Trinity also has 17 other subjects in the QS top 100 globally (for a total of 22 in top 100): Archaeology, Classics and Ancient History, History, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Accounting & Finance, Education, Law, Politics & International Studies, Social Policy & Adminstration, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Dentistry, Medicine, Psychology, Geography and Materials Science. 

Overall Trinity ranks for 40 subjects. Of these, 20 climbed the table, 3 dropped, 13 remained unchanged and 4 ranked for the first time. 

The QS 2024 Subject Rankings are compiled by higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds from a review of 5,000 institutions, resulting in a ranking of 1,559 universities across 55 disciplines.    

Universities are scored according to academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact (citations).   

Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s leading university and is ranked 81st in the world in the 2024 QS World University Ranking across all indicators.
