Formula Trinity team launches new race car in Front Square

The team will now jet off to the UK and compete around the iconic Silverstone track in the Formula One-style ride they have built from scratch over the past 10 months.

Students from backgrounds in everything from engineering to history have spent the past academic year crafting their own Formula One-style vehicle.

Now in its 26^th year, the Formula Student competition will attract well over 100 university teams from around the world hoping to test their cars in various challenges that will test the car’s speed, agility, and endurance, as well as highlighting the team’s engineering prowess and driving capabilities.

“This year's car is our sixth entry (FTX6) into the Class 1 Internal Combustion category at Formula Student UK,” said Katelyn Davis, Chief Operations Officer.

“We were one of only ten teams from 90 total to pass "scrutineering" at the competition 12 months ago, meaning we were one of just ten teams to race at Silverstone last year, and this time –with even more passion and a higher budget thanks to the generosity of our sponsors – we are on track to perform even better.”

“I've been so proud of what we have achieved already this year and I'm really excited to see how we get on in Class 1.”
