Trinitones to make debut on the big screen

From College Green to Hollywood Boulevard: Trinity’s all-male acapella group announce their involvement a forthcoming Hollywood feature film.
The Trinitones have gained national and international attention since their inception in 2012 but this project is their biggest break to date. Known for their innovative flair and perfect pitch, the Trinitones are pioneers of popular acapella-style music in Ireland. The group has performed at festivals and concerts throughout Ireland and Australia.
The title of the film has not yet been released, but stars including Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have been attached to the project. Trinitones PRO Sean Dillon would not be drawn on details but did say that the film is the latest in a well-known musical series.
Unfortunately, filming will take place in Los Angeles from the 10th to 15th April, clashing with this year’s Trinity Ball. Dillon has reassured the organisers that they will perform a longer set in 2024 to make up for the disappointment.
“We are so sorry that we can’t perform at Trinity ball this year,” said Dillon. “Trinity Ball is the highlight of our calendar every year. We tried everything to make it work but unfortunately it just wasn’t possible as the filming schedule is very tight. This is a huge moment for the Trinitones so we’re really excited to be part of such a well-known franchise.”
The director of the project discovered the Trinitones on Instagram after coming across their cover of George Ezra’s Budapest.
No release date has yet been set but it is expected to hit cinemas early next year.
