2007/08 Donor Report Launched – Continuing a Tradition of Giving Dating back to the 16th Century

The Provost, Dr John Hegarty and David Went, Chairman of Trinity Foundation launched Trinity Foundation’s first donor report on Friday 19 June last at Science Gallery, Trinity College.
Commenting on the publication the Provost said, “What strikes me most is not only the extraordinary history of private giving to Trinity, but that this tradition is increasing year on year. The significant developments that are going on College today are thanks to the generosity and commitment of our donors, alumni and friends”.

In 2007/08, Trinity received over €28 million in pledges to support the exciting array of projects and developments happening across College. Such projects include: the most ambitious construction project in Trinity’s history – the Biosciences Development ; engaging the public with science and technology at Science Gallery; initiatives promoting educational access such as Trinity Access Programmes (TAP); the Save the Treasures of the Long Room Alumni Campaign; the International Doctoral School in Global Health (Indigo); and many more.
