Biography

Andrew Forson is the President of the DeFi Technologies (Nasdaq: DEFT), and the Chief Growth Officer of DeFi Technologies wholly owned subsidiary, Valour.

DeFi Technologies is a Nasdaq listed financial technology company focused on the convergence of traditional capital markets with the world of decentralised finance. Valour is the company's digital asset ETP business and is an issuer of regulated exchange traded fund instruments.

Andrew is a software developer and financial quantitative risk engineer who has served in roles as diverse as Founder, CEO, CTO, Head of Risk and Quantitative Analytics, and Global Business Blockchain Lead at a range of tech and finance related companies in a twenty-five year career that began with Deloitte Consulting in Toronto Canada.

He leverages his financial engineering background, combined with a strong understanding of digital asset markets, to advance DeFi Technologies' mission of making decentralized finance accessible through secure and compliant investment products.

Andrew previously served as the Head of Ventures and Investments in a foundation entity of the Hedera Layer 1 Distributed Ledger ecosystem where he was responsible for making investments and working with portfolio companies to develop and execute their strategic vision in a manner that builds value.

Andrew holds an MBA, Post Graduate Certificate, and Post Graduate Diploma from the Edinburgh Business School. He is a TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Tae Kwon Do and holds black belts in both disciplines.
