About Trinity AI XR Hub
The Trinity AI XR Hub is a strategic initiative of Trinity Business School, advancing the responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (ER) in education, business and research. Grounded in Trinity’s commitment to innovation with purpose, the hub combines human-centred design, ethical technology adoption and immersive, hands-on learning. Its mission is to enhance and amplify uniquely human skills using AI and XR technologies, ensuring technology strengthens, not replaces, professional judgement and capability.
Our Mission
We harness AI and XR for good by empowering learners to use emerging technologies effectively, think critically about their implications, and apply them ethically. Our work always returns to what matters most: strengthening the human skills and judgement that underpin leadership, community, and society.

Students
The Trinity AI XR Hub offers students immersive, future-focused learning experiences that integrate Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality into real-world education.
Through hands-on simulations, VR leadership scenarios, AI-enabled problem solving, and experiential workshops, students develop both advanced digital capabilities and the human skills that technology cannot replace, i.e., critical thinking, ethical judgement, collaboration, adaptability and communication.
Our programmes are embedded across undergraduate, master, MBA/EMBA education modules. Students do not simply learn about AI and XR; they actively experiment with them, reflect on their impact, and apply them responsibly in professional contexts.
The Hub equips graduates not only to use emerging technologies, but to lead in responsible society shaped by them.
Education Orientation Week 2025
The Trinity AI XR Hub offers students immersive, future-focused learning experience.
Enterprises
The Trinity AI XR Hub partners with organisations seeking responsible, human-centred approaches to AI adoption and workforce development.
We design immersive executive education programmes, customised workshops and innovation labs that help organisations:
- Build AI literacy across leadership teams
- Strengthen human–technology skill complementarity
- Develop ethical and governance capabilities
- Enhance communication, negotiation and decision-making in tech-enabled contexts
- Prepare talent for digitally transformed workplaces
Our approach is practical and experiential. Participants engage directly with AI and XR tools in controlled learning environments, allowing them to experiment safely, reflect critically and translate insight into strategic action.
We work with industry partners across sectors to ensure that technological advancement enhances human capability, organisational performance and societal trust.

Research & Engagement
Research
The Trinity AI XR Hub advances interdisciplinary research at the intersection of AI, immersive technologies, leadership and the future of work.
Our research explores:
- Human–AI collaboration and skill complementarity
- Responsible AI adoption in organisations
- Leadership and decision-making in technology-rich environments
- Workforce transformation and digital skills development
- Trust, ethics and governance in emerging technologies
The Hub provides an experimental platform where researchers can test new pedagogical models, study behavioural dynamics in immersive simulations, and evaluate the impact of AI-enabled interventions.
By integrating research, education and industry engagement, we generate evidence that informs policy, organisational practice and curriculum innovation at national and European levels.
Our current European-funded research portfolio includes:
TechConnect (2024–2027, €3M)
Assessing and strengthening human-tech skill complementarity across sectors. The project investigates how organisations can better integrate advanced digital skills with human capabilities such as judgement, collaboration and ethical decision-making, and develops evidence-based recommendations for policy and training systems.
LEADSx2030 (2024–2028, €2M)
Leading Europe’s Advanced Digital Skills to 2030. This project examines advanced digital skills shortages across Europe and develops strategies to build sustainable talent pipelines. It connects education systems, industry needs and policy frameworks to strengthen Europe’s digital leadership capacity.
WOTAM (2026–2029, €3M)
Work Reduction Time Acceptance Model in the Age of AI. WOTAM explores how AI-driven productivity gains reshape work structures and societal expectations. It develops a Work-Time-Reduction Acceptance Model to assess the feasibility, barriers and enablers of working-time reforms across sectors and regions.
Through these projects, the Trinity AI XR Hub contributes to European policy debates, organisational practice and educational innovation. Our research informs curriculum design, workforce development strategies, and responsible AI governance frameworks, ensuring that digital transformation remains human-centred, evidence-based and socially sustainable.
Engagement
The Trinity AI XR Hub is committed to widening access to emerging technologies and contributing to informed, inclusive public dialogue about the future of AI and work.
We believe that AI and XR should not be confined to experts or industry. They must be accessible, understandable and responsibly shaped by society as a whole.
European Researchers Night September 2025
The Trinity AI XR Hub is committed to widening access to emerging technologies and contributing to informed, inclusive public dialogue about the future of AI and work.
The Hub actively participates in European Researchers’ Night, opening our immersive environments to the public and showcasing how AI and XR can be used ethically and creatively. These events demystify emerging technologies, encourage dialogue across generations, and highlight the human dimension of innovation.
We engage with primary school students to spark early curiosity about technology, ethics and leadership. Through age-appropriate immersive experiences, we focus not on coding alone, but on creativity, teamwork, empathy and responsible decision-making — planting the seeds of future human-centred leadership.

Through collaboration with the Trinity Access Programme (TAP), we aim to widen participation in immersive technology education. The Hub provides opportunities for students from underrepresented backgrounds to experience AI and XR in hands-on, supportive environments — building digital confidence, expanding aspirations and strengthening future pathways into higher education and leadership.
In alignment with Trinity’s Sanctuary University commitment, the Hub seeks to create inclusive access points for refugees, asylum seekers and displaced communities. By providing exposure to emerging technologies and structured learning experiences, we support digital inclusion, skill development and pathways to meaningful participation in society.
Across all our public engagement activities, our goal is clear:
To build technological confidence without losing sight of human judgement, responsibility and social impact.
The future of AI must be shaped collectively by educators, policymakers, businesses, students and citizens alike, and the Trinity AI XR Hub is proud to serve as an open platform for that shared exploration.
