Students will take part in trading simulations and will learn about areas of finance such as portfolio management, private equity, venture capital and treasury management. A core module in Sustainable Finance will be delivered in the first term, which is then further developed across all modules, as well as an elective module in Business Ethics, reflecting our business school strategy of Business for Good. As part of the Econometrics module students will use statistical software to analyse financial datasets from providers such as Reuters, S&P Capital and Bloomberg. Students can also choose to work towards a professional certificate in Bloomberg. These skills will be applicable for the dissertation research project, as well as in future work environments.
