Outgoing Exchange

Students have the opportunity to Study Abroad in third year for a semester or, in many cases, for a full year, as part of our extensive Exchange Programme. Trinity Business School has over forty institutional partners in eighteen countries.

Students also have access to over thirty Trinity College Partners suitable for Business. Students of BESS and Trinity Joint Honours may be eligible to attend partners of their other subject’s School/Department.

As this is an exchange programme, tuition fees at the host institution are waived. Students pay their normal TCD fees and will also receive any of their usual grants (plus a SUSI top-up if relevant). Students attending EU partner institutions will also be eligible to receive Erasmus+ funding (this varies every year and depends on the destination but will be approximately €300 per month). Students attending non-EU partners may apply for the TCD Global Mobility Bursary. Please note, these grants are paid after you commence your studies abroad.

To be eligible to go on exchange, you must have attained at minimum overall grade of 50% in your first year which should be maintained in second year (this does not apply for students of Business and a Language all of whom go for the full year). It is a competitive process, based on your first year grades, and there are limited places available in each institution. All eligible students have received offers to go on exchange in recent years.
