New MSc in Accounting & Analytics
We are excited to share that as of September 2025 our Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Accounting will be transitioning to an MSc in Accounting and Analytics.
This FAQ page is designed to answer any questions you may have about the transition, from application details to programme structure and career opportunities. If you’re considering your next steps, we’re here to help you make the best choice for your future.
1. General Information About the Transition
The MSc in Accounting and Analytics is a 12-month, 90 ECTS programme that builds on core accounting and finance modules. It introduces additional analytics-focused components and a Capstone project, equipping students with expertise in data analytics, AI, robotic process automation, and audit analytics. Deloitte delivers the Analytics for Accounting (30 ECTS) module, ensuring real-world insights and industry-relevant knowledge.
Graduates will be well-prepared for accounting roles where technology plays an integral role, reflecting the growing demand for professionals who can leverage technological tools in accounting practices.
The Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Accounting (60 ECTS credits, 8-month course) will continue to be offered until the 2025/26 academic year. From 2026 onwards, the MSc in Accounting and Analytics will fully replace the PGDip.
- Choose the PGDip (60 ECTS, 8 months) if you’re looking for a shorter course focused on core accounting areas, helping you enter the workforce quickly or begin preparing for professional exams.
- Choose the MSc (90 ECTS, 12 months) if you want a more comprehensive qualification. It includes all PGDip modules and adds a practice-based project, where you’ll apply analytics, automation, and AI to real-world accounting challenges. Both routes are being reviewed for similar professional exemptions.
