Alannah Weston is a leader who has always championed sustainability and creativity in her work. She was Chairman of Selfridges Group from 2019-2022 and during that time Selfridges, Brown Thomas, Arnotts and Holt Renfrew became the first luxury department stores to have their Science Based Targets approved by the SBTi. It was also the first department store group to sign the Climate Pledge. 


Alannah was Creative Director of Selfridges for 10 years. In 2011 she spearheaded Project Ocean, a campaign in collaboration with ZSL and Greenpeace, to raise awareness for overfishing. In 2020, Selfridges launched Project Earth which set out tough materials commitments.


In 2020, Alannah launched her podcast, How to Lead a Sustainable Business, interviewing thought leaders and pioneers who are actively innovating and transforming the way they do business for the sake of people and planet.


Alannah is a director of The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation, which has established the Weston Scholarships at Trinity Business School. The Scholarships enable students from under-represented socio-economic backgrounds to pursue the MSc in Responsible Business and Sustainability, empowering future global business leaders to have positive sustainability impact in their careers.
